Estrella Morente occupies a unique place in contemporary flamenco. She is the heir to the legacy of her father, Enrique Morente. We immediately took notice of her and her talent, whether through her projects in flamenco, Argentine tango, copla, rock, jazz, or electronic music.

Always establishing a profound dialogue between flamenco roots and other musical languages, Estrella is the recipient of numerous awards in recognition of her talent, including the Ondas Award for Best Flamenco Creation, the Music Award for Best Flamenco Album, and the Golden Microphone from the Federation of Radio and Television Associations of Spain.

Her voice moves naturally between tradition and the avant-garde, from cante jondo to jazz. Her voice traverses tradition, poetry, and emotion without losing strength or identity in a concert where roots, literature, and emotion engage in dialogue with absolute freedom. Morente is both roots and avant-garde.
